Customers of Triodos sustainable bank now have free and unlimited access to the Untied tax application as part of a merger between the two companies.
Triodos Bank said it has agreed to the partnership to help its personal checking account customers prepare for the upcoming tax season.
“This new partnership with unlied gives our personal checking account clients many more options for handling their tax returns,” said Gareth Griffiths, Head of Retail Banking at Triodos UK.
“We hope that services that use open banking services, like Untied, will bring opportunities to make administration much easier for our customers. It’s exciting to combine a sustainable bank with cutting-edge financial technology.
Typically Untied is free for 30 days, but then costs £ 49 or £ 99 / year depending on the complexity of your taxes.
With Triodos, customers have the option of using Untied, as well as connecting their account to quickly import income and expense information, and perform a real-time calculation of their annual tax bill.
Untied CEO Kevin Sefton called Triodos “an inspiring alternative for customers who want a more ethical approach from their banking provider”.
“We look forward to working with Triodos in the future and helping its customers better understand their taxes. “
